Project Background

The batching process in beverage production involves complex materials and variable weighing conditions. Under the traditional manual operation mode, problems such as wrong raw material selection, weighing deviation and untraceable task adjustments frequently occur.

To stabilize product quality and reduce human operation errors, this beverage enterprise partnered with Linmindu Measurement Technology and introduced the **MFS Stage Manual Batching System** to realize full-process digital transformation of batching, solving various operational pain points in manual workshop batching scenarios.

Project Pain Points

Before system deployment, the workshop encountered multiple practical bottlenecks in batching production:

1. Complicated material management: One material code corresponds to raw materials from multiple suppliers with various specifications. Raw material selection relied entirely on workers’ experience and memory, leading to high risks of misselection.
2. Difficult process control: The tea extraction process adopted combined batching of "whole bags + bulk materials", making it hard to control split material measurement.
3. Lack of mandatory process constraints: No forced interlock for abnormal weighing results, with hidden risks of out-of-sequence batching and non-compliant operations.
4. No digital support for special scenarios: There was no system tool to handle temporary production task adjustment, night-shift permission management, supplementary material feeding and label printing for material return. Operation records were difficult to trace.

Customized System Solutions

Combined with the unique production technology and on-site working conditions of the beverage industry,  Linmindu Measurement  customized the **MFS Stage Manual Batching System** to match the actual business requirements of the workshop.

✅ Material & Formula Management

Multiple groups of raw material attributes can be maintained under one material code. Operators can directly select the raw material name, specification and supplier for the current production at the production terminal. Formulas support batch import and version updates, and are maintained uniformly on the server to ensure controllable and traceable formula versions, eliminating version confusion caused by paper formula circulation.

✅ Strict Control of Weighing & Batching Workflow

The system adapts to the special batching mode of beverage tea extraction: **whole-bag exemption from weighing + split weighing for bulk materials**.
If the actual weighed weight is inconsistent with the quantity on the task sheet, the system triggers an immediate alarm and locks subsequent operations, fundamentally preventing out-of-sequence batching violations.
Taking night-shift production requirements into consideration, hierarchical permissions are configured. When administrators are off-site, process engineers are granted corresponding modification permissions to balance compliance control and on-site operational flexibility.

✅ Flexible Handling of Production Tasks

It supports modifications to production line, weighing batches, production date and other task information. **All changes are fully logged**, and material labels can be printed on-site directly.
Built-in temporary operation functions allow adding material weight for individual tasks. Completed historical tasks can be retrieved for material return, with return labels quickly generated and printed.

Basic function configurations including production line maintenance, weighing station binding and feeding point label printing are also completed to fit the workshop’s original operating habits and reduce employee training costs.

Project Value

This project focuses on core batching business with redundant modules removed for lightweight implementation.
With the MFS Stage Manual Batching System, the enterprise has built a full digital closed loop covering raw material selection, weighing verification, task modification and on-site label printing, greatly reducing risks of manual mis-matching and weighing errors.

The system is well adapted to tea extraction processes, multi-specification material management and special night-shift working conditions. It provides digital support for stable beverage product quality and helps standardize and trace manual batching operations in beverage workshops.
